hi guys,

this might seem a bizzare one, but i,m sure there will be someone out there that can shed some light (so to speak)....

although i have know problems with my panel lights, a friend has changed his cluster bulbs to the blue LED type, and although i like to keep my cars original, it does look really nice, BUT,,...,,,... all the swith lights are still green,(he drives a ford, i suppose someone has to...) anyway,

is it possible to replace the bulbs in all the switches, as well as the cluster
any help would be great, my w202 cdi t model would look lush i think with this so subtle mod.

but the clocks look gorgeous in blue,
i just wished they had shown how to do the switches, or if it was even possible, i can rememmber trying to repair an old opal monza elec window switch, and once you opened it up, that was it. SCRAP.

I did repair all my unlit Ford window switches once. Bought new bulbs from Maplin and managed to install them and get the windows working again - but they got a lot warmer than they used to, despite me matching the wattages.

I wouldn't attempt the Merc ones though,

The car manufactures spend a lot of money on these cosmetic things, OK so BMW are all blue, after sitting in my brothers it is different, and can be a bit much, the MB lighting is very well done. being different is not always better.
The MB is the easiest on the eyes.

How we see light output for a given wattage............
Blue is the brightest then Amber next green and last red in terms of CDP

When we get our new Meets section it should encourage more meets.

With some handy work the plastic inserts in your instrument cluster come out
and could be altered, the back lighting for the speedo head etc can be changed, they are normal bulbs.
