Instrument Panel Lights Out

On my 1997 E320 the left turn signal indicator on the instrument panel does not illuminate although the exterior turn signal lights work (front and back) and the clicking sound (solenoid?) occurs. I assume I simply need to check a bulb...I'm sure this question has been asked a million times, but how do I remove the the instrument panel to get to this?

Thanks, but I thought that would be the case so I had already tried a couple of searches before posting...some close hits, but nothing decisive for this model, year, etc.

So...any help from someone who knows would be very appreciated!

I had a similar problem on my 89 300E. I had to remove the instrument cluster and resolder some of the connections around the dimmer switch. Even though it was not difficult I would recommend trying everything else first since it time consuming.

Hi

The speedo is held in by an interference fit ie its just tight. But its good and tight. We have pullers but I don't like using them as you can pull the clock face of as well. Some times you can get a the clock for extra leverage by removing the air vent. You can get your fingers in.
