does anyone know how I access the lights for the switches, ie heated seats, roll bar, central locking etc ? I am playing with some led lights and want to see how they look when backlighted with the led instead of the normal white light

this is how the climate control looks

Most of the switches have built in LEDs

only by levering out the dolly, I would practice on one, they were not made to be serviceable.

The cluster uses bulbs, as does the headlamp switch, but rockers that have the LEDs are the hard ones

The rocker part normally has the pivots built in, one each side, and they locate in holes in the side of the casing, the casing has to flex to get the rocker out, so they may not come out in situ.

Plus there is a spring and roller inside, and it may not be possible to assemble in the vertical position

Hi,
The switches cannot be removed from the front and have to be removed from the back, and most of them are not individual switches, but being part of a switch pack.
Individual switches are i believe the ones either side of the electric door mirror switch.
But I don,t envy you doing this, job as you,ll not only have to do the power on red indication LED's, but the switch illumination lamp as well, keep us posted on whether you decide to do this i for one would be interested on how you get on, don,t forget to loads of piccies!

I do not think that I would try this one, the LEDs are glued in

well I dont mind the power indicaters staying as they are, but would like to get the backlight ones changed, I have done the dash and the climate control and I like the look. But am I ready to strip down the car just for these few switches, hmm, it would make the jhob complete but I am not yet ready to risk breaking the thing. Ill have to try and find out more about whats involved in getting them out.

Its the switches above the climate control
