Just up for renewal on W210 320cdi avantgarde estate, I've had a quote of £391.99 from Chris Knott.

Any comments or recommendations for alternatives?

Thanks
Rob

Thanks,

best quote was from IAM (Institute of advanced motorists - Adelaide Insurance) for £336.98 with £200xs, legal protection & a host of other benefits including business usage, I have bikes with them also & they give good cover.

The best on confused was about £345 with fewer benefits & higher xs.

try www.moneysupermarket.com always seem to be able to provide lots of quotes and are always cheaper than any of the so called other online "brokers".

Each person will say a different company. A lot has to do with databases and postcodes.

Go to Martin Lewis' website and he tells you what to do. He goes on about it a bit, but it's all about doing a full market search and you can do this in 15 minutes.

One guy got his down to £28.

I found Adrian Flux to be very reasonable and the customer service is excellent.

DirectLine best for me.

considering they are for "performance" cars they were the biggest joke of the 10 i rang

£800 for the 1st car

£1,300 ! for my 2nd car

absolutly useless which is a shame as ive always heard good things about them

Yeah that is a bit steep!

I'm paying £322 Fully comp with protected NCB and all current mods declared (alloys, tints and induction kit). I'm also told I can add further mods at no extra cost as long as I declare them and I dont increase engine power by more than 20%

I guess it must be related to the car and the postcode as usual!

DirectLine best for me.

I've heard they are reasonable too but I have always steered clear of Direct Line (and all the other RBS owned companies - Privilege, Churchill etc). Every time I go for a quote, they all insist on having a tracking device fitted as a condition of insurance.

Have only started insuring in NI in the last 12-18 months and have been outsripping most to obviously get the business. 2nd year with them and got £280 fully comp with protected NCB and £250 excess. Well happy.
