Hi, I have a 6 month old SLK 350 which has an integrated remote control for electric garage door operators.

I have tried without success to get this to operate my garage doors and I get nowhere.
I have tried following the instructions in the SLK owners handbook, I have also tried following the instructions in the garage door operator leaflet!
These are slightly different instructions. The garage door operators are SEIP, model TM60 and made in Germany.

I would appreciate any information / advice or experiences anyone else has had with this product. Also, if anyone knows the email address and the correct person in Mercedes, Germany to direct my questions to that would be a help.
Thank you.

The words in the handbook say that it will work with the most common garage doors, its a bit of a wide statement, I never got mine to work. When you think of it there are thousands of codes and systems.

I didn't even know there was such a thing as an integrated remote control for the garage door that came with some of the Merc, sounds very posh indeed :D

I would love to have one of those, if only there was room in our garage for the car. I thought most people used their garages as glorified sheds these days :p

Yes there is, but as my magic garage door opener came from Wickes I figured it would be too scummy for the MB setup so never bothered. I clipped the remote to the inside of the driver's door pocket which works really well but it doesn't help Ironhead. BTW I solved the using the garage as a shed problem - After much head scratching, I bought a shed! I also built a lean[-to down the side of the house, but that's a different story.

I'd contact MB customer services and quote the model and make of the door opener. They should be able to find out if it's supported in theory, but you may have to be persistent!

There is a little button under the mirror, the only down side is knowing MB's electrics history is that you would get the car in and close the door, and that would be the last you saw of it.

Well funnily enough we did have a shed, but I came up with this idealistic vision of having a beautiful Summer House in the garden, draped in spring flowering clematis and the inside filled with candles and other pretty things, with some reclining chairs inside and a shelf to put your cup of tea on :D
