My 2008 W204 estate has been tripping the interior alarm during the winter months so I booked it into an auto electrician today to investigate if the sensor had become faulty. Diagnosis indicated a fault categorised as interior break glass . Nothing obvious was at fault in rear tailgate window apart from finding a spider's web. The electrician was left wondering if a spider could be triggering the alarm !
One thing I learned today is that the sensor is situated in the headlining with interior light switches just behind the rear view mirror. Does anyone know how much a replacement interior alarm sensor is likely to cost should it come to that ?
