Interior decor lighting in CLS

How bright should it be?
My 2016 shooting brake has 3 colours to choose from and none of them are visible in normal daylight.
I got a ride in a E Class of around the same year as mine today, and the lights (blue ) were plainly visible even in the sun. mine are turned up to 5 but not visible until it's dark outside.

Same as my 14 plate ML then .... I'd even forgotten they were fitted during the summer as I'd rarely gone out in the ML in the dark so didn't/couldn't see them

They won't be, my 17 plate C Class has them but they are not visible during the daylight

Same for my 2018 GLC - only visible in the dark.

I'm thinking they must be modified ones that I saw then. They were really bright. Maybe even too bright for night driving.....

My W213 had 5 levels, and brightest one was very bright... kids loved it...

In my 2013 CLS are in place, fuses, everything ok but...not working, I don’t know why ?

I think the one I rode in was a 213 but it had a private plate and I'm not that familiar with all the models.

It will be as that had the 64 colours and a real step change in interior lighting
