Interior lighting failure - 1994 W124

Switched the lights on tonight on our E320 - and none of the interior lights (panel, switches etc.) worked. Checked the Brookland manual and that says fuses 5 and 8 control the IP lights - however all the other gadgets controlled by these fuses are OK. Haven't physically checked them yet though - will do that in the light tomorrow morning

Is there anywhere else likely to have caused this?????

hi the first thing to look at is the dimmer switch. these often go wonky on 124s. have a play & good luck.

Ahhh - what dimmer switch???? :Oops: :???:

Only got two knobs on the I.P - ones the trip reset and the other is the clock adjuster. If theres's supopsed to be a dimmer as well - where is it supposed to be????

You are a star sir!!! Thats saved a (probably) expensive trip to get the fascia removed :-D :-D :-D
(must make a wee note of this in the manual for future reference.....)
