I have recently purchased a RHD Mercedes Automatic C180 Elegance T-model. Unfortunately the owner’s manual is missing.
One fault I noticed after a few days is that the light in the glove box did not work. I replaced the bulb and checked the switch but it still does not illuminate.
I then realised that a number of the interior controls do not illuminate. The majority do but the number that don’t make it unlikely that the fault is just blown bulbs.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to the cause of failed illumination to the following (I have had to guess which should light up and which are not intended to illuminate). Looking from left to right they are:-
Interior of Glove box
Heating vent wheels (3)
Heating level wheel (left control only)
Heating fan speed control
Rear window demister switch
ASR switch
Ignition control
Panel of exterior lighting controls etc
Switches for interior ceiling lights
Guidance as to which fuse(s), relay(s) or connection(s) I should check would be appreciated
