The highlighted area in attached picture has at some point come out so I now have a piece of carbon shiny not attached, does anyone know how to reattach the cover please

How was it attached previously, clips or adhesive?

Some double sided tape will allow you to remove if you needed or a bit of glue to attach permanently.

The whole panel has come off so just a void with the return mechanism
