320 CLK Year 2000. I have an automatic 320 CLK which is giving me intermittent problems. You drive along perfectly and sometimes when you kick down the accelerator the car seems to loose its power and does not seem to kick into the correct gear. The car seems to be running fine and the gear shift is in Drive but has no transmission power. If you take it out of Drive shut it down and start it back up it runs fine - until next time. When this happens the car shudders on idle. Can anyone shed any light on this PLEASE!!!

Absolutely - just add the o2 sensor into the mix too. The car is going into get you home mode. As Peter says, odds on - you'll need a new MAF sensor.
If it's any consolation, I think we've all been there!
