Intermittent blower motor W124 E300 D 1994/5

Hi, I have a fabulous E300D but the blower has become intermittent and often will not work. I have been informed that it could be due to a blocked pollen filter ? Is this correct ? If so how do I go about replacing it.

not all 124's have a pollen filter and they would not stop the fan from turning. has the car got mb a/c, if so its either the fuse board and a melted fuse or the motor itself (which is under the wiper mech). if its got after market a/c, the to change the blower motor you have to remove the dash

Normally if the fan's intermittent it's because the motor brushes have worn out. There are lots of threads on the two forums regarding this
