Intermittent ESM Failure

Hi guys
Tried a few searching before posting.

I have a 2014 CLS 350 with only ~31500 miles.

Got an intermittent issue where:
- The ESM manual (M) setting disappears (so pressing the ESM button only switches between E and S)
- Turbo doesn't kick in
- Eco doesn't change gear at ~2000rpm but waits until about ~3000rpm
- 7th gear becomes completely unavailable

I can literally fix the problem by turning the car off and on again. Video of the problem available if it helps.

I happened to have an annual service due at Mercedes Stockport and so I brought this up. At no cost, they updated the 'automatic gearbox software' (I'm certainly no petrol head, so I've taken what they said there). Benn told to see how it goes. Will know within a month of driving whether it made a difference.
