Intermittent Rear Brake light Failure 97 C240

I keep getting an intermittent Failure of Brake light on one side .
I've changed the bulb
Retensioned the spring contacts
Cleaned the Multi Pin Connector with Contact Cleaner

IT STILL KEEPS FAILING

sometimes a tap on it will fix it I cannot see where anything could be loose and its now driving me to a demented state!!!!!

Anyone any Tips

I used to get intermittent failures on the brake lights of my W210. Contact cleaner and a good scrape of the terminal on the back of the bulb would fix the issue for a few months then it would go again. You could try switching the bulb to the other side to see if it is the holder or the bulb.

Did you buy the bulbs from MB or other, Ive found some cheap bulbs can be problematic.

Good suggestion i will replace it with a MB dealer bulb and see what happens
