My 2003 W209 is fitted with an Audio 10 head unit and 6 CD changer in the glove compartment. My local MB dealer tells me they can supply an iPod integration kit for £200 ish and fit for £250.

This seems to contradict all other advice - most specialists are sying the Audio 10 is "no go"can anyone comment?

I believe the Audio 10 is an Alpine unit (the CD player certainly is). Therefore the current best option seems to be to replace the Audio 10 head unit with one of the Alpine after market units which offer iPod, Bluetooth and steering wheel control (and will probbaly keep the CD player).

Has anyone tried this?

The local MB dealer also maintains should I remove the original Audio 10 it will be of no use to anyone as it is car specific.

Go to Comand.co.uk and speak to Alfie or Richard. They know everything that your MB dealer doesn`t!
