IPOD connection for W203 woth COMAND

Hi - I have a 2002 pre-facelift C Class 270CDi Estate (pre-faclefit W203) with COMAND.

Looking at other threads I am becoming confused as to what my best option is for listening to an ipod.

Is there a relatively cheap way of connecting up to an AUX somewhere or am I stuck with the vagries of an FM transmitter (I have one of the variable frequency ones which does make life a little easier but still not best quality sound)

There is a dension product that allows better control than the audio AUX port.
