Our 07 CLS only has one key and typically the cars booklet with the V5 has been misplaced.

Is it ok to get a new key for it from one of these mobile car key outfits? In the sense that is it a straight forward thing? If not, I don’t want them messing around with electrics and ecu that could cause issues to a fully functioning and reliable car.

I had both our R230 keys replaced by

That was after a mobile guy had failed to it and nearly screwed to EIS.

Thoroughly recommend and they do it while you wait.
Book first though.

Thank you for sharing, I will give them a call! Looks very reassuring as if this is their bread and butter area of work. Had I known before I’d have seen if they could have come out to look at the w221 no start issue.

I was looking at P1 Auto Keys who seem to be very good but, I couldn’t find a website, just Instagram stuff.

As above. We do them in house too, you can cause damage but just reading the stuff is low risk.

I've used them in the past when a Keyless Go key stopped working, they rebuilt the key on their premises and were very reasonable, even more so when compared to stealership prices. Would definitely recommend.

Contacted them and even though it costs more for a mobile service (and rightly so), they are coming out to me on Friday morning

Job done.

Chap texted me at around 6:20am to advise he’s leaving and arrived ahead of schedule. Great.

2 new keys done, and nice to see these are the newer type like the ones with the 3 plastic buttons. Batteries in existing key changed and will keep that as one of the spares. Took less than 30 mins, they plugged into the car to do any coding/gizmo type stuff. One key said something like initialising or something when I put it in but all keys then worked.

Thank you for the recommendation, they seem to take their business and service seriously which is nice. They get the thumbs up from me too!
