Hi,

I have a command system on my 2007 clk, my problem is that I dont seem to be able to turn the hifi off without also turning the satnav off. I asked at a dealer and they told me that there is no way, and that I would have to press the mute button. Surely this cant be right??

Does anybody here know different?

A solution would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Peter

Not familiar with later models but on comand 2.5 if you press the radio button again, this will switch the radio off. Same applies to CD and sat nav.
Hope this helps.

Same as mine. All I do is turn the volume down to zero. Not really a problem.

Thanks for the response, thing is I have an ipod integration kit, and if I just turn the volume down the ipod will continue wurring away needlessly, I know I could switch to radio then turn the volume down but I would have thaught there would be a more simple solution.

You should be able to increase the volume from the satnav by turning the volume button up while she is talking. Of course this depends on how loud you play your ipod music, which may result in her shouting at you.

It will maintain the satnav volume set until you adjust it again.

gring, do you not have a "Mute" button? I often have the COMAND on Map or Nav but with the Mute button pressed. I can still hear navigation directions but no Radio/CD

I have got the mute button, but that just turns the sound off, in the meantime my ipod will be playing continuously. (I dont supose it will do much harm, just dont want it to overheat). I suppose I will have to select radio (this will turn the ipod off(I hope!)) then select mute.

The mute button pauses the cd changer, doesn't it pause an ipod?

I experimented today, I started playing an album from track 1, then muted it for about 10 mins, when I un-muted it, the ipod was on track 4. So no it doesnt pause it.

No, it MUTES the output!

Switch to Radio and mute if you don't want music to accompany your route guidance
