NOx update on a 2012 204 , I only thought 205's were affected .

I take it was for nox it was a while ago. It was definitely emissions based update since then 7thgear is impossible to reach unless you break 70 mph

No, I would not let them do the NOx update, but, eventually it will get a software update if connected to proper MB diag kit, potentially in the process of fixing another problem. EG they don't give you the option on the computer side.

I had a 2.7 diesel Jag which I had re mapped. It gave it 40 HP and about another 100 ft pounds of torque. And it lost all of the turbo lag.

Get something with enough power for you n leave it std. Then whatever happens you KNOW it ain't related to any fooling around with system.
I ain't throwin another issue into the works, just like I ain't Goin near a Benz update. Me ml, benz getting divorced soon as, if, situation improves and I not buyin any modern car again unless I win lottery (difficult as I don't do it)
I am done bein hostage to any car maker and the bussines plan as I see it.
Worked hard enough for 40 yr to save wot we have, n I will decide how I spend it, not some pimppled git in a modern car design dept.

U might be right. When I put my vin in it said no updates, required.. /avail.
But I don't view that as definative.
