Is my new car affected by the Valeo Issue ?

Having read the threads and previously being bitten by my W203 with a new Suto Box being required, I am going to bite the bullet on Saturday and get a W208 with the 430 Engine.

Looking through the threads about Valeo, there is no mention of the W208 being affected, but on Honest John, he says it is.

Is it affected, and if so, what production dates / engines (is there a way to check using the VIN# or something ) & how much for a preventative change of the rad ?

Valeo Issues

Hi Mark,
If nobody else replies, I'm sure there is a thread somewhere in here that gives years for various models - from memory, it was given by Television last year. Sorry not to be more help, but I think the latest date for any model was around June - July 04. My 54 plate C 200 Facelift seemed to be OK from the table and the rad is not Valeo, so here's hoping!!
