Hi all.
This seems like a great forum. I came across it whils searching the internet over a problem I have on my S350.
It manifests itself with a warning light on start up which states. " Restr. Sys. Defect. SRS. Visit Workshop" together with an SMS light.
The first vist to the garage cost me £50 +Vat. 'Something' was cleaned and the fault went away but returned a day later.
On the second visit the garage identified the fault as originating in the seat buckle and have given me the following options:
1. Fit a new buckle at £92+vat together with 2.5 hours work to take out and repace the seat at £50+vat per hour. Total cost of £250.
2 Take out and replace the seat but try to repair the buckle. Cost minimum of £150. The fault may then reappear in which case add the cost above to sort it.
Questions: Is this a reasonable approach to the problem and a realistic price to pay for a resolution to the problem?
I would much appreciate some help or advice on this matter.
Many thanks,
Steve
