My brothers daughter bought this place, when it was almost a ruin. I went to see it when she got married 6 year ago, within two years she got the Award for best wedding venue. Is it near you Turnipsock

It's not that close. Actually, as the crow flys, it is a lot closer than driving there. The problem is that all the roads run up and down and Iwould need to go across.

What a beautiful looking place and how nice to get married in such a wonderful venue. It's a shame you couldn't have civil ceremonies in places like that years ago. I got married at Watford Register Office, a more cold and impersonal place one would be hard pushed to find. When my son got married last December he got married at Durrants House and it was the most beautiful venue to have a wedding service in :-D
