My 1999 108D non turbo Vito with 540k on the clock has a distinct tapping coming from the top end of the engine which disapears when the revs are increased slightly,The timing chain and tensioner was changed 5k ago including the bottom sprocket (on its third chain and first time replaced sprocket). Have been using BP ULTIMA DIESEL for a few months as it is much cleaner (no smoke),and gives more power and a good increase in mpg .Every thing else seems to be fine and it has been well maintained and never missed a service right from new . I think I may well have had my moneys worth out of this one ,What do you guys think ? Gearbox is also a bit woolly now (original box as is the engine)
