Good morning to all, I own a 2011 CLS 350, it`s a lovely car to drive & own, it has covered 51k, But my main pride of joy is the latest Mercedes that I found on EBAY 3 weeks ago, when I read the advert I thought this is some sort of scam, so I contacted the seller who was a dealer selling from home, so, to cut a long story short I went up to Colne in Lancs to see the car & hey presto there it was, a C180 classic, one owner from new, 19000 miles, YES 19000k I couldn`t believe it but every M.O.T. was there FULL Mercedes yes MERCEDES service & repair invoices from new, including the original purchase invoice. I know I paid `over the odds` for a 2000 C Class but to find a car with this mileage & history must be vertually a one off. so I paid £3,495 for a car that was barely `run in` am I a very fortunate man or what ?? I have attached a picture, any comments are welcome. IMG_20210905_123009.jpg

Hi Quinty, welcome to the forum, great to see many people joining up, enjoy the ride and do stick around!

Fantastic purchase and a great simple car to maintain.

Paid over the odds ..... great bargain I say.

That looks really tidy and a nice colour. Re price there is a factor folks often overlook if something is thought to be over priced... it's worth what it's worth to you and if that happens to be £1000 or so more than anyone else thinks no matter.

When I bought my Viano a few months back I probably paid £2000 "too much" in many folks eyes. But it was the right engine, colour, mileage, history, spec and with a very decent dealer. Too many positives aligned to lose it for a couple of grand.

It's surprising there are these low miles cars about. When your car was new in the 2000s dad bought a few "modern classics" from the late 70s and went to auctions where there were often mint low milers pulled out of elderly folks garages. Two of his were 15k and 20k at 20+yrs old and similar to yours looking almost unused.

Hope it goes well for you.

Great looking car and I much prefer an older low milage one to a newer model.

Hello and welcome

No such thing as paying over the odds for something like this, it is and will be classified as a classic soon and will be worth much more than you paid for it ;) Just carry on looking after her :)

Yes, good cheap stylish motoring. My mate purchased a 20 year old Toyota Corolla automatic earlier this year. 1 owner, 4k miles (not 40k) and he paid £3k l think it was. Pretty much like new, no rust and drives as new. Best car he's ever bought.

Hi Graham, your mate is very lucky, that Toyota sounds a great car & an exceptional price for what is virtually a `new` car.

What a keeper - looks great and one of my favourite colours for that model.

Price is always subjective and I think you got a bargain.

If it’s a keeper I’d be very tempted to have the seats trimmed in leather
