I was wondering if anyone else has the issue of opening there car bonnet when I pull the lever under my steering wheel to lift the bonnet it opens but when I press down on bonnet where it tells me in my car manual it isn't coming up, it tells me to press down on the left side of bonnet and I will hear a decompressing sound and it will lift up but isn't doing so. Is there another way of opening it. Thanks

Is this the first time it is playing up?
My pennies worth. When the bonnet is in the half-open state, press down both ends to lock the bonnet.
Then start again. Pull the lever all the way. Then go out and press both ends together. If it opens in the half-open state, gently lift both ends together.

Welcome... worth trying someone to push down on the bonnet as you're pulling the lever then get them to let go, sometimes the catch just isn't quite in alignment and this can sort it out
