Well it was over months from order to delivery, so yes, probably babies have been conceived and born since I placed my order, but finally it has arrived :-D

Love the colour, and the 400d is a stonking engine. Can;t wait until it's run in properly and I can give it a bit of boot. Have been out for a couple of drives mixing cross country lanes with faster roads and returning around 40mpg + at the moment which I'm more than happy with.

That’s what I like about a lot of the Mercedes colours, they change so much in different likes.

I nearly went for Cavansite with mine but a friend has a similar car in it and I didn't want to copy his, so I went for Anthracite instead.

Unfortunately mine "almost looks like black" in most light but, having said that, does tend to pop in sunshine which we seldom see where I live...

I think they would look bad on a lighter colour, but actually ok on this. Saw one in white on autotrader and it looked awful in my opinion.

I had the same plastic strips on the Plug, they are actually painted so could be popped off and sprayed if you really wanted to go that way, however I actually think it adds to the contrasts of the car nicely

I saw a Cavansite Blue SL today, sparkling in the sun and a lovely rumble from the V8!
I do love that colour. It’s almost a flip paint the way it changes colour in the sun when moving.
