It's been home 24 hours..... and our 08 E220 has developed a noise
Came out to it and it was making a chirping noise (speaker sort of thing)
Unlocked it and the noise continued, started the car, still doing it..... went for a drive and it stopped. 10 minutes later it started doing it again.

Help??

Possibly alarm unit giving up the ghost. Is the noise coming from passenger side front?

Where was the car before being home. Has thr problem been caused elsewhere.
As above, the alarm siren is the only thing that can chirp located mostly behind wheel arch

Yup, almost certainly the siren - it stops when you pull fuse 8 too (as does the remote locking!)
Can I just remove the siren? Will everything else be OK if I do?
No one listens to car alarms anymore..... but I would like to be able to lock and unlock it
