Not misled but lost, the hose I had for draining the gearbox oil from the banjo connector on the 722.6 transmission. I can't remember the diameter (but do remember it took me a couple of attempts to get it right) and with the weather the way it is here I don't want to be crawling under the car to find out.
So I was wondering if some kind soul has used the same method and can remember or measure the one they use.
Thanks.

Go look for something else and you'll find it

Never done it for a banjo hose , but if the weather is pants as it here , you could just drain the sump , then refill and run for a while before draining again .
Then drop the sump and change the filter
That should be a 75% change ish

Won't be attempting anything for quite a while according to the forecast, just trying to get all my ducks lined up (hope they don't swim away) in expectation of better weather.

If you mean for flushing, I disconnected the union in the return from the cooler and then pushed a piece of 1/2in garden hose over it (needed warming to soften), plus a hose clamp for added security

Thanks, that's it I couldn't remember the diameter I had (I think a 3/4 hose) and it fitted over the connector but was too loose even with a clamp and got a smaller one.
No doubt when I get a new piece the old one will turn up, all I need now is a day without wind, rain, snow and a temperature that encourages a little car maintenance.
Thanks again.

If you look in the last place you would look for the hose in the first place you will save yourself a lot of time.

Sorry, I can't help more than that.
