jacking points-240td

Hi Andy

Its doubtfull that any body will quote with out inspecting the vehicle. It is my experience that if the jacking point is rotten. Then the job is usually bigger than it looks. IE, you can only see part of it. When you start digging. Usually you wish you hadn't started.
Visit a good body shop. Or one of this sites specialists in restoration work. That way you will know that a good job has been carried out & not a bodge job.

jacking points-240td

thanks for the info but after thinking about it part of the fault i/e noise may have been caused by useing the jack when the car was at an angle (two wheels on the path) but i will still have it looked at. But it does seem a little odd to me that it is the offside of the car that is suffering from metal worm and not the near side.
