Jacking the car up - front center OK?

I have a 2003 E500. Is it ok to put the jack under the front center (there is a 3" wide protrusion there) and jack up the whole front end? I just don't want to damage anything.

Isn't that bit part of the cast aluminum sub -frame?
Sure its strong enough ?

Not quite sure if that is 'cast aluminum' or not, but I have done many times jacking the car on that 3" wide plastic square.
