Jerky transmission

Hi, I am experiencing transmission problems with my 2010 E350. It has the 7 speed auto 'box. A couple of days ago the gears were not changing smoothly, hanging on to the revs longer and jerking when it did change. Changing down was just the same, jerking on each down shift. Also it felt like it had gone into safety mode as the revs would not build above 3000.
I got home and did the "Transmission reset" this sorted it out for the rest of the day, in fact the changes were smoother than ever. But the next morning after sitting on the drive over night and everything getting cold the exact same fault reappeared.
I crept it home and left it there waiting to see what to do next......
Has anyone else on here experienced the same or similar?

'transmission resets' are an internet wives tale.
When was the transmission oil and filter last changed?

If you suspect limp mode have the codes read for gearbox and engine.

As LK says. Get the codes read by mercedes. Likely conductor plate /doped sensors issue. Not the end of the world.

Had same problem with CLK. As above get the codes read by MB STAR
New electroplate.
