hey, writing on behalf of my mum who is becoming increasingly stressed with her car!! shes been experiencing loss of power when changing gears etc and its juddering more or less every time she drives it. its as if somethings pulling it back (i have no knowledge of car terminology whatsoever!!) she took it to a garage who 'promised' her they knew what it was and she spent 400 pound getting the engine mounts replaced and the camshaft sensor fixed. 'suprisingly' this didnt work and they are now telling her she needs to spend another 400pound on the air mass sensor which they promise will fix it! shes reluctant to pay after the last time so i was wondering whether anyone had any suggestions as the car is really not suitable to drive and shes not in a position to sell. any help really appreciated. the car is a merc avant garde. thanks in advance! x

then i am sorry too, airmass would be correct but it is part of engine ECU and need to ordered via chassis number via germany, then coded! thats not cheap, couple of other things come to mind but that would be top of the list im sorry to say,

just re-read your first post, if spending 400 pound and it didnt cure the fault they should take that off the final bill as the work done didnt cure the fault!!!
