Just bought a AMG 190e 1.8 the kit got fitted by Mercedes when it was ordered.

The Car has one owner, 80,000 miles and a full merc dealer service history

Its 1993 L reg and i paid £1250! this said its needs a proper good valet as the inside looks like a cows lived in it for 10 years ,although nothing is ripped. The ouside is metalic burgundy and has loads of tiny scraches all over it most of which will come out in the valet.

If i get it mint what will it be worth? not that im gonna sell it for a while,

The service is just due too, am i to expect anything major at 80k

oh and the electric aerial is not working but i can hear the motor whiring any thoughts

thanks

Sounds like a good price if it's ok mechanically and rust-free! Shame about the scratches though. Mine had a lot on the boot and I thought the local Chips Away man could fix it but he recommended a respray (of the boot) as too many scratches for him to sort economically. Mint examples with low mileage and fsh can go for anything up to £2.5k and I once saw a 190E with 36k on the clock go for £3.5k! I paid a grand for mine but it needed a replacement diff which set me back £400 including fitting. Then the boot respray but now it's A1 mechanically and almost mint to look at. I'm very happy with it! Your aerial sounds shafted if it's whirring but not extending. You can get a replacement from German & Swedish quite cheaply although they aren't the quality of the rather expensive genuine part. If you're going to keep up the MB servicing it may be quite expensive for the 80k service but if you go to a specialist it should be reasonable providing the previous owner didn't sell it due to an impending huge bill. I thought my car was spot-on until a few weeks after purchase when my diff disintegrated!
