I really wanted a 350d but with the comfort sports suspension and smaller (18") wheels. But most were in AMG spec.
Then this used 350d Sport came up. Was unsure about fuel economy and VED (I'm Scottish!). But this was a rare spec car and when I drove it just had to have it!
Smooth, comfortable, powerful and sounds nice. Towing capacity, off-road pack, camera and tow-bar will be useful. Really pleased with it so far.

Thanks for the welcome Blobcat. Good to see you are also a LR fan. Had an old 1949 Series 1 years ago. I also still run an early Discovery 3. Used for towing horse trailer these days. I love V6s, its 16 years old and I can't part with it.

Hi and welcome from another V6 GLC driver (but mine's not as economical as yours!)

Cheers Steve. Generous of you to say that! But the jury's still out on my mpg! Pootling round town is yielding 32-33mpg so far. Hope to get more on a long run.
I don't suppose you'd be interested in a free set of side steps/running boards? My wife can't get on with them and MB want £1000 just for parts to replace them with the standard sill sections.

Dear EmilysDad,

These are just perfect! Thank you! I'm such a div. It never occurred to me to look on eBay. I've just bought them.

Oh no - I had mine taken off when I purchased the car probably for the same reason your wife hates them. Dealers did it at their expense in the end because it was a dealbreaker for me and they were desperate for the sale!

I get between 28 and 31mpg on a run - I try not to use it around town

Well negotiated Steve! Good result. That's pretty good mpg for a GLC43 I'd say. Bet it sounds glorious. .

I'm not expecting miracle mpg with the 350d, but if it does mid to high 30s on a run I'll be quite happy, as that what my 2.2d Freelander 2 did. I don't generally have a heavy foot. (Except for the odd blip of course!)

Hi and welcome! :)

Never driven a GLC, but had a lot of fun with its predecessor ...

I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Hi and welcome. A few of us are Land Rover fans - I've had 4 myself ( RRC, Defender 110 and 2 X FC101s). My other half works for JLR Classic and is involved in sourcing parts for restoring them.
