You absolutely correct of course. Top speed was officially 78mph. With a tail wind. Downhill. On 5 star petrol. And a Peco exhaust system. And a 13" steering wheel.
Switch on rear door edges disables ability to open car from inside.

Hasn't every 4 door car since the 1960's has these locks as standard?
I would be very surprised if anyone made a car that young children could let themselves out of at 70mph on the motorway.

Must be VERY strong children to open the door against a 70mph rush of air.!! If they were hell-bent on trying it, couldn't they just open a window and leap out?
Question. I wonder how many children lept out of cars, prior to childproof locks being fitted? Must have been thousands...![]()
