Just a bit of info regarding key fob.
I have been reading lots of posts here on this forum,
Being new to MB I like to read all info i can get on these cars.
When i bought my CLK it only came with one key and i have gone through all the ebay, re-programmings and all that bulls*it, and came across a post regarding asking the previous owner of vehicle.
So i wrote a nice letter to the previous owner as stated on V5 and after two weeks no avail, until tonight when out of blue i got a phone call from a very posh lady saying she was previous owner and she has found a brand new key for my car that she had ordered from MB at £150 and she has sent it to me recorded post.
After explaining that, she then wen't on to give me the run down on the last 7 Years history that she has owned it and all the history from the previous owners before them,eg MB mayfair as demonstrator, and some Rich guy who put 10K on in 2 years.
With the car being a grand old age of 10 with only 55k on you do have some doubts amout the Milage even with fully stamped book.
Now my mind is at rest, as the car does drive very nice, Interior is mint and everything works and only fault is stone chips on the paint work,
which im going to address when i find a good paint shop in Leicester.
So just to say thanks for who ever put the post on about contacting previous owner and all who supply unlimted info on this site.
