well chaps ive been stuffed by the local dealer and have now got a new £260 key fob, i wont lose them again, thanks to all for advice, word of warning, DONT buy any fobs from anywhere else ie: ebay because mb wont entertain you, and dispite what the seller says, they will not re programme a fob bought from anywhere else yyou must buy it from mb. it is nice to have the old girl back on the road!
