Key for Mercedes 560SEC 1988

I recently bought a Mercedes 560 SEC 1988 to restore, been off the road since 2006 and the keys are lost.
move contacted Mercedes who say they can’t find a record of the car to get a new key.
does anyone have any other ideas please.

Also, is anyone breaking a car as above as I need some parts

You will need new ignition barrel and door locks. Lots of second hand sets (EG key and barrel sold together) on ebay usually.

Nice car, friend of mine has one (albeit a 500) with a special factory body kit which was supplied new with the car when his Dad bought it new.
