I don't know as only just bought the car

Have you been given the key from AN Other car perhaps?

Guessing you've bought from a garage, stand in the forecourt with your none working key & see if it talks to another car? :D

Why the dealer? The garage who sold me the car must have known and an 08 plate car the dealer would just laugh after 12 years
