What car is it? and year?
What type of key is it?
Single button with flip out key blade or the electronic "smart" key (normally 3 buttons but can be only 2 if its an estate)

It is a single button remote control. it just operates the ignitions, i guess the imobilizer. you do not unlock the doors from it. The car is a C class 2.2 Petrol year 1994 esprit. bought in germany. I change the switch in the remote. now the LED lights on but it does not operate the imobilizer. In te mirror i have no LED like people have told me, so I do not know where the sensor for the remote is. The remote controls are original Mercedes, just one small button that operates the imobilizer. Please help me the other will soon stop soon

Sorry but I don,t think it will ever work as the synch routine is for the Scorpion Alarm/immobiliser units.(that were fitted by MB from new).
I believe you have only a MB immobiliser unit (look at the bezel around ignition switch should be a bit lumpier than standard) it is tied into the electronic E.C.U./Ignition module which is fitted I believe under the washer bottle on the N/S, and there was no synching procedure for this, it either works or it does,nt.
I think you may have to bite the bullet and go to MB for a new key.
These keys are coded to your electronic E.C.U./Ignition module by MB from your chassis number.
There is no way that I know of to bypass this type of immobiliser, without the correct key.

the funny thing is that now the LED workes properly, i cannot understand why it lost the frequency, and the other remote control is half way too. the switch is only keeping together with tape
