All l can think of right now is that maybe keys need to be resynced to the car. Strange that both have played up though. I guess the procedure will be in the manual. If u don't have a manual post on here and I'll have a look in my CLK manual.

Does anyone know where the alarm siren is on these cars as I can't find it, I have just bought this car and now wondering if the problem was there before I bought it and they have removed the siren. Thanks

I would look inside the o/s/f wheel liner first, I 'think' that is a common place.
If missing you will find a 3 'female' pin socket. That wouldn't affect the keys working though.
Mine was missing when I got it. Only small issue is that it needs to be locked twice to stop it flashing continually, but i think that's another issue anyway.

I have looked there can't see nothing or any wires/connectors the only thing there is the water fluid bottle for wipers and yeah I know it wouldn't stop the car locking but just wondering why they is no siren going of when lights are flashing. Thanks

Update still can't see the siren so guessing it's been took of by a previous owner and still can't lock car with fob.
