keys for mercs

I have just bought a 1995 C280 sport auto and there is only 1 key with it. The key has a blipper in it here are my questions.
1. where would i get a new key with blipper and how much .
2. how do i get battery out of key to change it
3. the alarm box under bonnet can u get new keys to turn it off if needed

You'll get one from a dealer only, cost is £120 and you'll need to bring along proof of ID. I don't know about the alarm key, dealer may be able to help.

My key packed up recently (without warning), and I would have been stuck had I not been carrying the credit-card sized spare. If you've only got the 1 key, I'd suggest you buy another immediately and then change the batteries in your current one. You should be able to prise it open - you'll need to reinitialise the key afterwards, this is the procedure:

Open car
Point key at interior mirror, and press the blipper twice (not too quickly)
Put the key in the ignition and turn to position 2 (red/green lights should flash), keep it there for a few seconds.
Key should now work.
