Must sound crazy...but neither of my kesy is allowing me to get into my merc SLK 230...year 2000. I tried channg the batteries on the remote fob, but no luck. The keys do fit, and they are 100% the corrct keys. The mechanic that came out (under my home start policy....not a Mercedes policy but from car insurer, ) asid nothing they can do and that I should call mercedes. I thik that might cost a fortune, so before I do that, has anyone had similar problems before?

Thank you

Do you have any LEDs lit in the mirror or door handles, the ones that used to go from red to green

Key not working

hello...its a 2000 version of slk 230. so there were no LEDs in door handles. the only led was on dash board. which i think was for the alarm. funny enough..thats stopped flashing. could that mean a dead battery? if so..how do i charge battery ..as it will be hard for me to get access to engine without 1st getting in the car? thanks
