I'm not an expert on your vehicle but some general points.
If you mean no kick down without depressing the kick down switch (at full travel you'll feel the switch point) then it may be as simple as driving in W mode (or it may be C for comfort on your vehicle) or that it's adapted to a very lazy driving style.
If it doesn't kickdown even when you depress the kickdown switch then it may be the switch.
There could well be other points to consider as well. Let's see what others have to say.
thanks for your reply. have since repaired car and kickdown working fine after fitting a switch to the mass sensor,cost £85.00.as this was faulty it sent incorrect info to the ecu not allowing the throttle to adjust and increase revs which in turn confuses the gearbox and will not change down a gear.hope this will help anyone else with similar
