Knocking noise - E280 Estate 1993

Hi chaps,
              I've inherited a knocking noise in the back of my E280 Estate. It sounds like it's coming from the underneath driver's side. It seems to only do it when going along slowly but is intermittant and fades away when you touch the throttle slightly. Does anyone have any ideas as to what it might be. It had it's 90,000 service at a main dealer about 2 months ago and this noise started about a week ago.

Drop by the dealer or a reputable independant, they should diagnose it for free. It's hard to diagnose problems by sound, when you can't hear them!
