lacquer flaking

Hi All,
i have just bought my second 190e, this one is 1988 on an E plate.

I have a problem with the paintwork in that the lacquer is peeling off, how do i remedy this?
the cause as far as Iam aware is due to it having been in cyprus for twelve years and left in strong sunlight and heat.
is it possible to have the lacquer removed and replaced or will it need a complete respray?

It must be flated and respraed completly,, no other way
