Lambda Sensor Removal

Hi everyone i wonder if someone can tell me whats the best way of removing the lambda sensor as ive had a look and its well on there so my question is any suggestion on how to free it and am i right in saying its anti clockwise to undo it
p.s has anyone been told there esp module needs replacing esp fault keeps appearing on my car and all the the simple things have been done ie brake light switch

Yes it is anticlockwise to undo.
If you are replacing the lambda sensor,cut the cable and use a deep socket or good quality ring spanner to undo it. If you don't intend to change it leave it alone as it is not serviceable and is quite fragile.

What car do you have. C220GJS is correct intelling you to cut the wires to get the lambada out

In my experience, the lambda sensor is easier to shift if you heat it up by running the car up to temp. I know its less comfortable to work on, but heat does the trick.

lambda sensor

Thanks to you all i did wonder whether running the temp into it would help so ill do that many thanks

All good advice about the Lambda sensor.
Regarding the ESP unit - I had this problem on my 1998 E430- the BAS, ESP lights would come one on starting up my car. Sometimes, if I ran it for a bit and the restarted the engine the lights would go out.
I had the ESP unit replaced and all was fine for a bit, but then the problem returned.
It was eventually cured by replacing the battery, which was the original fitted at the factory!
