I have a warning on my dashboard telling me I have a lamp not working. I have checked all the lamps and they are all ok. I have tried cancelling the warning but it re appears every time the lights are switched on when the engine is running, or the engine turned off!
Any ideas, thanks!

First - try to figure out which lights it's on about. Head lights, brake lights etc.
Then assuming they are all working correctly and this is a sudden problem (no one has put an incorrectly specced bulb in), then go through, cleaning the contacts and easing the contacts back up.
I had the same with brake lights on my 210. Replaced the bulbs but it kept whinging. Eventually I removed one, cleaned the contacts with wire wool and sprained them back a bit. Tried again. The warning still came on, but the fixed tail light was now twice as bright as the other side. I did the other side, that brightened up, and the warning went away.

I had a similar problem took me awhile to find the bulb in question. In my case it was one of the front parking lights although it was illuminating I noticed it wasnt seated tightly.Bit of squeezing and twisting refitting the bulb and all was well. As Jberks says cleaning the contacts whilst your checking will double your checks.

Thanks for your replies. I think what you are both telling me is that a lamp doesn't have to fail for a warning to take place!

I will try them one at a time and see how it goes. I think I have eliminated brake lights allready.
