new to this forum so this question may have already been covered. i have a 2003 c class 220 cdi auto. about 2 months ago could smell diesel in the car, garage checked twice and said it was leaking from pump. gasket replaced but still leaking so pump reconditioned. car returned no diesel smell but now hunting for the revs, having used the car a few times noticed that when i accelerate hard there is again a very strong diesel smell in the car and this happens each time i accelerate hard. also found small diesel patch under the car. garage have it again but getting a little frustrated and £400 lighter. any ideas.

Hello and welcome to the MB forum,, so the car is still leaking, have you lifted the top cover to expose the injectors, as the chances are its leaking along the rail somewhere

Normally leaking from the pump usually means replacing the plastic feed/supply pipes..
