Leaking SLK

Wife's SLK is letting water in on passenger side, quite bad floor carpet is soaking wet and looked under panel where I think the heater fan is? black plastic cover under / behind passenger glove box ? and some gunk and moldy leaves only a 2001 as well! still question is is this a common fault and where are the likely leak points? don't fancy sticking it into the stealership unless I could get some warrenty claim which I guess I would be onto plumbs with! all thoughts gratefully received....

Blocked drain holes under the bonnet are very common, when they block water can then get into the car through the heater unit. If you open your bonnet up into the service position you can then clean out the leaves and crud.

Just to go one step further than Blobcat, you must take off the cover to the heater box and you will see a drain hole in the bottom,its where blobcat says.

Thanks guys, take it I will need to take off the black plastic trim at the back of the engine bay / under windscreen to clean out the duct? also drain point on heater unit looking at it from the bulkhead where is if located and what does it look like? any obvious marking, your joint wisdom is most appreciated......

All of the cars are different, just follow all ducting rubbers. any air intake boxes must have drain holes.
